As reported by wrestlingtruth.com Hollywood actor Freddie Prinze, Jr. had signed with the WWE to be on the creative team. He is a lifelong fan and has wanted to be involved for years. But never really had the chance until now.
He actually was one of the main guys behind Jeff Hardy’s new attitude, which is perhaps the greatest thing to happen to Hardy in years and could be a sign of more good things to come.
Wrestlers have nothing but good things to say about Prinze Jr, saying he is very accessible and receptive to ideas and input, which a lot of other creative team members are not.
Its said to be a strange situation where the other writers “suck up” to him because of he’s famous, but he doesn’t abuse this, instead using his power to actually do good by the wrestlers.
Prinze currently works on the Smackdown brand alongside Michael Hayes.
This is showing fans that he is a great writer and can bring more to the table than just a being a consultant. Which is something I was worried he would do. I was hoping the would get out there with a good storyline, and he did.
Although it happened very fast for me. Some writers don't get main event type stuff until years into the company, but Prinze Jr. has exceeded that. That is something he can hang his hat on.
