They double whip Edge to the corner and Hardy jumps off Mysterio’s back with Poetry in Motion. Mysterio covers for a one count. Mysterio kicks Edge in the back of the leg as we go to commercial.

Edge whips Mysterio into the corner and charges but Mysterio drop toe holds him into the turnbuckle. Mysterio hits a head-scissors and Edge is set up in position for the 619. Mysterio wrenches Edge’s arm and tags in Jeff Hardy, who comes off with a double axe handle.

Edge hits an elbow drop and drags Hardy to his corner where he makes the tag to Chris Jericho. Jericho kicks Hardy in the ribs before hitting him with a belly to back suplex. Jericho yells at the crowd before covering for a slow two count. Jericho has some words with CM Punk before catching Hardy before he got to his corner and locks Hardy in a rear naked choke. Hardy comes in and saves Mysterio from the Doomsday Device before sending Edge’s head into Jericho’s crotch. Mysterio leaps over Edge and hits a top rope hurricanrana on Jericho for a near fall!

Mysterio goes into the ropes and rolls up Jericho’s body but Jericho drops back and smashes Mysterio’s face into the cage. We’ll take our final break at this point.

Jericho grabs the leg and Mysterio gets out with an enzuigiri.

They tease both men making the tag but Jericho gets there first and Edge cuts Mysterio off before he can. Edge picks him up on his shoulder and uses his head like a battering ram into the cage. Mysterio blocks a second one and twists into a nice DDT! Edge tags Jericho back in and Jericho stomps Mysterio before talking some trash. Jericho slaps Mysterio and talks more trash about the mask. Jericho head-butts Mysterio before sending him into the ropes but Mysterio holds on to the ropes. Jericho charges into Mysterio’s boot and Mysterio charges so Jericho catapults him over his head but Mysterio hits the cage and begins climbing up in an awesome spot! Jericho eventually cuts Mysterio off but Mysterio is able to kick him away. Mysterio floors him with a top rope dropkick and both men are down again.

Both men finally tag in their respective tag team partners and Hardy takes Edge down with a clothesline. Hardy clotheslines him again before sending him into the cage face first. Hardy sends him into the cage again before hitting an inverted atomic drop, a double leg drop to the groin, and a dropkick to the face for a near fall. Edge hits Hardy with a kick and has a whip reversed on him but Hardy lowers his head and eats a kick. Edge goes into the ropes for a Spear but Hardy leap frogs him and Edge Spears CM Punk inadvertently!

Edge goes to bounce Hardy’s head off the turnbuckle but Hardy elbows him and hits Whisper in the Wind! Hardy covers but Punk is down. Punk eventually rolls over and counts for a near fall. Hardy confronts Punk about this but Punk is in the clear – he did take a Spear after all. Edge turns Hardy around and Hardy drops him with a sit-out front suplex. Jericho runs in and Hardy drops him with a kick. Mysterio then runs in and grabs Hardy to swing and hit Jericho with the 619! Mysterio charges Edge and Edge drops him with a big boot. Hardy, Khali & Mysterio Won Raw's Triple Tag Match

WWE RAW

Commentators: Michael Cole & Jerry “The King” Lawler
Reported By: Hunter Golden of WrestleView.com

Jeff Hardy, The Great Khali & Rey Mysterio vs Edge, Chris Jericho & Dolph Ziggler

Khali began clubbing away at Ziggler in the corner, chopping away at him before Chris Jericho tagged in. Khali picked up Jericho and threw him across the ring and then clotheslined him to the outside of the ring before Edge and Ziggler tried to topple Khali in succession, but got thrown out themselves. Hardy launched himself into the crowd of heels on the outside before Rey used Khali to launch himself.

Khali actually attempted a dive of his own, but got cut off by Edge before he got the chance. Rey tagged in and set up Jericho for a 619, but Edge caught his feet. The heels worked over Rey briefly before Ziggler tagged in and Rey was able to wiggle away and tag Jeff Hardy. Jeff hit a face buster only before Edge cut him off with a spear. All hell broke loose before Rey hit an asai moonsault to the outside on Jericho and Edge & Khali cleared out to the floor. Hardy was left in the ring with Ziggler and he hit a twist of fate for the win.

Winners: Jeff Hardy, Great Khali and Rey Mysterio via pin fall

CM Punk entered the ring to raise Hardy's hand. Hardy didn't take to Punk trying to upstage him.

Jeff Hardy Defeats Chris Jericho via Count Out on Smackdown

WWE Smackdown
June 19, 2009
Roanoke, VA
Report by: Mike Tedesco of WrestleView.com

Start of the Show

Josh Matthews is in the ring. Matthews mentions that on Raw Smackdown’s General Manager Theodore Long announced a championship match. CM Punk will take on former World Heavyweight Champion Jeff Hardy. Jeff Hardy comes out to a tremendous pop. Todd Grisham correctly calls something, mentioning there are loud ovations and then there are Jeff Hardy ovations.

Jeff Hardy gets in the ring and Matthews mentions that two weeks ago he reached the top again, becoming World Heavyweight Champion again despite those who said he’d never make it there again. They now show clips of the Ladder Match, including the big ladder bump on the outside and the mid-air Twist of Fate. I believe that finish to the ladder match was one of the most creative I’ve seen.

Matthews mentions it must have been an amazing moment and can’t imagine how it must’ve felt to become a World Champion. With that said he can’t imagine how he must have felt when this happened. They now show CM Punk making his way out to the ring to cash in his Money in the Bank contract. Hardy kicks out of one GTS but can’t kick out of a second one and CM Punk becomes the new World Heavyweight Champion.

Matthews now mentions to make things even worse just when it looked like he was going to become World Heavyweight Champion again, this happens. They now show the ending of the match on Raw, where Jeff Hardy looked to have it won with the Swanton Bomb only for Punk to pull him out of the ring and steal the win for himself.

Matthews mentions that it seems like he can’t get a break and that the World Heavyweight Championship seems to elude him. Gee, way to rub it in guy. Hardy mentions it’s cool and he doesn’t live in the past – he lives in and for the moment. At the Bash he has CM Punk one on one and he knows, along with each and every fan, that he will beat CM Punk. Matthews says we’ve heard Jeff’s point of view so it’s only fair we hear his opponent’s. Matthews now introduces World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk, who comes out to boos.

CM Punk gets in the ring and Matthews mentions that many people feel that he took advantage of a vulnerable Jeff Hardy at Extreme Rules, and at this past Monday night’s Raw he stole another victory from Jeff Hardy. Punk says the only thing he took advantage of at Extreme Rules was an opportunity to cash in his Money in the Bank contract, which he did successfully and well within the rules. Hardy knows this, as does the fans, that no where in the contract does it say, “Under no circumstances are you to cash in on Jeff Hardy.” As far as “stealing” the match on Monday, he takes offense to that. He’s never stolen anything in his life. He didn’t ask the medical staff to come to ringside; they were just doing their job. Hardy was doing his job, and he did his job by successfully defending the World Heavyweight Championship.

Punk says that Hardy knows this as well as he does – when he’s in the ring he doesn’t need to be a guy’s best friend; he’s their competitor. Hardy says Punk is right, in the ring they’re not friends, and they couldn’t be more different. He lives his life they way he does and Punk lives his they way he does. Punk says that’s right – he lives his life the way he does, and Hardy lives his life the way he… does. Punk stretched that out – I like that! Hardy says their differences will collide at the Bash and he will take back what he earned at Extreme Rules – the World Heavyweight Championship.

Josh Matthews thanks them and asks the audience to give it up for Jeff Hardy, and they pop. Matthews asks them to give it up for CM Punk, and they boo. After the break Jeff Hardy will take on Chris Jericho.

-Commercial Break-

Jeff Hardy vs. Chris Jericho

This is a non-title match. The match starts and they circle the ring before locking up. Jericho quickly gets a headlock on and Hardy just as quickly whips him off but Jericho is able to shoulder block him down. Jericho taunts for a moment before going into the ropes, over Hardy, and right into a dropkick. Hardy whips Jericho into the corner and hits a corner clothesline. Hardy whips him to the opposite corner and hits a clothesline there as well. Hardy goes for his slingshot dropkick but Jericho moves and Hardy hits the mat hard.

Jericho hits a nice suplex on Hardy for a near fall. Jericho gets Hardy up and Hardy hits some punches. Hardy has a whip reversed on him and Jericho slaps on an abdominal stretch. Jericho holds it on for a bit but Hardy eventually counters out with a hip toss. Hardy comes back with a spinning lariat and an inverted atomic drop. Hardy connects with a double leg drop to the midsection and a low dropkick to the face for a two count. Jericho is in the corner and Hardy runs into his boot. Jericho comes out for a clothesline but Hardy ducks it and hits Whisper in the Wind out of nowhere for a near fall.

Hardy goes for a flipping mule kick but Jericho throws him off. Jericho goes for the Walls of Jericho but Hardy powers out. Hardy goes for a Twist of Fate but Jericho counters with a back suplex. Jericho goes for a Lionsault but Hardy moves. Hardy hits his sit-out front suplex and goes for the Swanton Bomb but Jericho rolls out of the ring. Hardy is still on the top rope so he flies off to the outside but Jericho side steps him and Hardy smashes his face on the barricade.

Jericho throws Hardy into the barricade a couple of times before throwing him back in the ring. All of a sudden Jericho turns around and Rey Mysterio jumps off the barricade with a hurricanrana and Jericho smashes his face into the ring post! Mysterio goes back and sits with the fans. The ref didn’t see anything as he was tending to Jeff Hardy. The referee begins counting and counts Jericho out!

Winner by Count-Out: Jeff Hardy

Jeff Hardy Versus CM Punk at The Bash PPV

At The Bash, the fateful roads of squared-circle passion and championship retribution will collide, as World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk puts his World Heavyweight Championship on the line against Jeff Hardy.

Extreme Rules saw Jeff Hardy prove triumphant over Edge in a career-threatening World Heavyweight Championship Ladder Match that propelled both Superstars to heights of grueling insanity, the likes of which neither one had ever experienced before. It was time for celebration, as The Charismatic Enigma had finally overcome all that had stood in his way to stand alone in the glorious splendor of WWE supremacy.

But then, in the blink of an eye, it was all over. Suddenly and without warning, CM Punk brought Hardy hurling back to earth, cashing in his Money in the Bank opportunity on the war-torn Superstar to rip the gold from his waist as quickly as it had been placed there.

The Straightedge Superstar had also overcome unimaginable odds at the 25th Anniversary of WrestleMania, beating out seven other Superstars to climb the rungs of the ladder and snatch his second Money in the Bank briefcase. This gave him the right to cash in that opportunity anytime he wished. Some claim that he simply exercised a move of strategic brilliance, picking the moment that the World Champion would be most vulnerable to attack and taking the title.

On Raw’s special three-hour edition 3-For-All, Punk put his title up against both Hardy & Edge in a Triple Threat Match. Hardy looked to once again close-in on victory over The Rated-R Superstar. However, Punk blocked Hardy’s path to glory once again, hurling him away from the win to cover Edge himself and retain the title. This further intensified the tension between the two Superstars and raised as many question as it answered.

At The Bash, a true moment of destiny will be revealed. There will be no ladders or no promises of glory hanging above the ring, only the white-hot intensity of reckless abandon. Two of the most tenacious Superstars in WWE will dish out every bit of their heart, strength and unbridled skill to determine who has the right to possess the gold. And in the end, only one of them will walk out the ultimate conqueror.

Don’t miss your chance to witness The Bash, only on pay-per-view, Sunday, June 28 at 8/7CT.

Punk gained the advantage and went after both men, clotheslining Edge to the floor. Punk launched himself through the ropes and hit a tope onto Edge. As he re-gathered himself Hardy raised the stakes, throwing himself up and over the top rope with a suicida.

Back in the ring Hardy went for a pin fall, but only got a two count. He ate a big boot on the Irish Whip attempt and Punk gained a bit of an advantage. Punk connected with a kick to the body before laying Jeff out with a body slam and dropping an elbow. Punk wrapped Hardy up in a chin lock before Edge came swooping into the ring and had a pair of big boots to dish out to both the champion and the other challenger.

Edge stomped away at Punk's back before smashing his head into the corner buckles. The two duked it out on the top rope briefly before Hardy interrupted and dragged Edge off. Hardy leaped into Edge's place on the second rope. Edge picked up Jeff and went for an electric chair drop, but Punk tried to pick him out of the air with a lariat from the top rope. Punk swooped off but missed by a mile. Jeff almost rolled Edge up but only managed a two count.

Punk went to the top rope, only for Edge to shove him off the top rope. Punk landed funny on the ring steps and has the trainers down at the ringside area. Hardy hit a big whisper in the wind, only for Punk to barely break it up. Hardy swooped to the outside and went to work on Punk's leg. He intercepted Edge in the ring and hit a twist of fate and connected with a swanton bomb, but Punk dragged him out of the ring yet again, except this time, he slammed him into the ring steps. Punk crawled into the ring and pinned Edge to win the match.

Edge and Hardy Friday Night Match Ended with a Rumble

WWE Smackdown
June 12, 2009
Biloxi, MS
Report by: Mike Tedesco of WrestleView.com

Start of Show

We start the show off with a video highlighting the tremendous World Heavyweight Championship Ladder Match from Extreme Rules. Both men really put it all on the line as there were some really sick bumps. The ending was very favorable with Jeff Hardy winning the title until Mr. Money in the Bank CM Punk cashed in his guaranteed contract. Hardy put up a fight by kicking out of one GTS but a second one was too much and CM Punk pinned him to become the new World Heavyweight Champion.

Justin Roberts is in the ring and introduces the new World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk. The crowd seems pretty happy seeing him as champion as Punk parades around the ring holding up his championship. Punk grabs a microphone and says he’ll cut right to the chase. He came out here to clear up a few things. Ever since he cashed in his Money in the Bank at Extreme Rules he’s heard some grumblings that say he stole the World Heavyweight Championship from Jeff Hardy but he doesn’t see it that way. Last year when he cashed in on Edge he didn’t see it that way and neither did we. Punk can’t take back what he did, nor does he want to, because he is proud to stand in this ring our World Heavyweight Champion for the second time.

Punk says he earned the right to cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase when he put his body on the line at WrestleMania. Punk says last Sunday at Extreme Rules there was an opportunity to become World Heavyweight Champion staring him right in the face and he capitalized on it. That doesn’t make him a bad guy; that’s just the entire purpose of the contract that’s in the briefcase in the first place. Obviously it wasn’t the most popular decision in the world but he’s never done anything in his life just to be popular. He’s always done what’s best for him. Punk says the championship is something he’s worked so very hard to attain. The title is the entire reason he’s a WWE Superstar to begin with. The title means the world to him and he promises to bring respect, honor, and integrity back to it.

CM Punk is now interrupted by Jeff Hardy, who comes out walking a little gingerly. What an amazing performance he gave on Sunday. Even though he’s banged up he’s not showing it – no finger splint or anything. Hardy grabs a mic and takes in the cheers from the crowd before saying he didn’t come out to complain about what Punk did because that’s not his style. He just doesn’t agree that CM Punk earned it, and then asks the crowd if they think he earned it and they say no. Hardy says he won Money in the Bank and earned the right to cash it in whenever he wanted to but he cashed in on the wrong guy.

Punk says Jeff’s angry and he understands that and understands his point of view but asks that he tries to see where he’s coming from. Punk says he didn’t put Hardy in a Ladder Match at Extreme Rules. He did. Hardy chose a Ladder Match for him and Edge at Extreme Rules, and the night he did that a light bulb went off in his head, and he said, “That’s my night.” Regardless of whoever won he made up his mind that he was cashing in that night and it just so happened that Hardy won. Hardy says he doesn’t care about his reasons but he’s sensing selfishness. Hardy asks if he cares about his fans and takes in some “Hardy” cheers and boos for Punk. Hardy says he doesn’t walk the same path as Punk, and he never will, but he wants his rematch, and he wants it TONIGHT!

Edge’s music hits and he comes out looking wild. Edge says Hardy isn’t getting his rematch tonight. If anyone is, it’s him. Hardy asks if he’s lost it – he beat him and won the Ladder Match. Hardy now asks why he’s even out here. This isn’t about Edge – it’s about him and Punk. Punk says for once they’re in agreement and tells Edge to “beat it.” Edge says no and says Hardy got lucky at Extreme Rules, and both of them combined have not held that title as much as him. Facts! Hardy had the shortest World Heavyweight Championship reign in the history of the company but at least he’s his own man. But Edge has been trying to figure out what makes Punk tick ever since he got here, who he looks up to, and he figured it out – Punk wants to be Edge! Edge tells him to laugh all he wants but its true. Edge mentions that Punk calls his unique lifestyle “straight-EDGE” – HELLO! Punk named it after him. Punk cashed in his Money in the Bank successfully TWICE, just like him. But here’s a news flash – he never has been, and never will be, him.

Edge gives another news flash – if Hardy wants another title shot, he’s got to get behind him, because if anyone’s getting a title match tonight it’s going to be him. Hardy says that’s not going to happen because they’re both full of – and Hardy attacks Edge before he finishes that statement and knocks him out of the ring. Hardy then turns on Punk and drops him with a Twist of Fate! Hardy then quickly gets to the top rope and hits a Swanton Bomb on the World Heavyweight Champion! Hardy seems to have hurt himself a little bit with the Swanton but still gets on the turnbuckle to pose for the crowd.

Teddy Long’s music hits and Smackdown’s General Manager makes his first appearance on the show in a few weeks. Teddy Long wants to see if he can sort this out. CM Punk is the champion so his first defense will be at the WWE 3-For-All, and he will go on to face the winner of tonight’s #1 Contender’s Match between Edge and Jeff Hardy! Long’s music hits and the segment ends.

#1 Contenders Match for the WHC
Jeff Hardy vs. Edge

Mike Chioda calls for the bell and the contest begins. This is beginning with about twenty-five minutes left in the show. This should be good. They lock up and push each other away and both men hobble on one leg back to their corners. They go to lock up but Edge goes for a single leg but Hardy is able to club him off. Hardy bounces Edge’s head off the top turnbuckle and kicks him a few times. Hardy brings him to the other corner and bounces his head off the turnbuckle again before whipping him hard into the opposite corner. Hardy stomps Edge a few times before picking him up and hitting a body slam. Hardy drops a knee on his back and a forearm for a one count.

Hardy goes for a suplex but Edge knees him in the midsection before elbowing him in the back of the neck. Edge kicks him in the ribs and takes some time before hitting some more forearms. They’re taking this very slow so far, selling the injuries. I like it! Edge chokes Hardy on the top rope and releases it before he’s disqualified. Edge stomps Hardy a few more times before whipping him into the corner. Edge charges for a corner Spear but Hardy moves and Edge hits the ring post shoulder first. Edge falls to the outside of the ring and this match will continue after the break.

-Commercial Break-

We come back from the break to see Hardy covering Edge for a one count. Hardy wrenches the arm, takes Edge down, and locks on a cross-arm breaker. During the break Hardy snapped Edge’s arm off the top rope and then put him into a hammerlock and threw him into the barricade. Hardy holds the submission on for a while before breaking the hold and dropping a knee on his arm. Hardy gets Edge in the corner, wraps his arm around the top rope, and pulls for a few seconds and releases before he gets disqualified.

Hardy has a whip into the ropes reversed on him and Edge drops him with a big boot. Edge takes a lot of time to get up before picking Hardy up and bouncing his head off the turnbuckle. Edge now drops some knees on Hardy’s back and taunts the crowd. Edge goes to pick Hardy up but Hardy holds on to the ropes so Edge chokes him on the middle rope. Edge now goes into the ropes and goes for a cross-body with Hardy on the ropes but Hardy moves and Edge hits the ropes hard.

Both men are down but are able to make it up at the count of four. Hardy kicks Edge in the midsection and goes for his sit-out front suplex but his body is in too much pain and Edge capitalizes with a chop block to the injured knee. Edge drops an elbow on the knee. Edge then drops a knee on it and locks on a leg lock. Edge punches the knee a few times. Hardy is able to punch out of this one. Edge has a whip reversed on him and Hardy pulls him into a flying neckbreaker. Hardy now takes Edge down with a flying forearm but can’t get back to him quick enough. Edge kicks him in the knee but has a turnbuckle shot blocked. Hardy elbows him in the face and goes for Whisper in the Wind but he’s too slow climbing up the ropes and Edge is able to sweep his legs. Hardy is now hung in the Tree of Woe. Hardy falls out of it and we’ll finish this match after the final commercial break.

-Commercial Break-

We come back from the break to see Edge stomping on Hardy’s injured knee. Edge tries to pull him towards the corner but Hardy holds the ropes. Edge eventually gets him and drags him to the ring post. Edge goes to the outside and slams Hardy’s injured knee off the ring post. Edge throws Hardy back in at the five count and covers for a near fall.
