Jeff's Brother Matt Involved in Y2J/Helms Recent Arrest?

Jeff's Brother Matt Involved in Y2J/Helms Recent Arrest?

The following is from TMZ.com:

WWE star Matt Hardy was among a group of people involved in an early morning incident that led to the arrests of Chris Jericho and Greg "Hurricane" Helms, this according to law enforcement sources.

Witnesses told cops Hardy was in a taxi with Jericho, Helms and several others Wednesday morning -- when Helms allegedly struck three people ... including one female.

Witnesses say Hardy took off on foot -- just like Helms allegedly did -- when the cab driver pulled over at a Kentucky gas station and called 911.

We're told Helms came back to the scene and was arrested -- but Hardy was gone for good. Cops are not pursuing any sort of action against Hardy.

As we first reported, the female passenger decided not to file charges against Helms over the alleged attack. Helms and Jericho were arrested for "alcohol intoxication in a public place."

Jeff Hardy's TNA Status

Jeff Hardy's TNA Status

Little has been said regarding Jeff Hardy's status with TNA Wrestling since his return to the promotion during the first live Monday edition of iMPACT! on Jan. 4. TNA did not bother to mention him on subsequent television broadcasts not to mention that the company website has yet to add a bio on him to its roster page.

In an update on the matter, it would appear that Hardy's appearance three weeks ago on iMPACT! was not a one-time deal and that he will be making further appearances for the promotion in the near future.

Apparently revealing the name of his partnership with Shannon Moore, Hardy tweeted the following on Monday:

"HeavensDemons...airhedge&itchweeed ready to hitTNA with some shockfactor..you dig thy name...HeavensDemons?"

For those unaware, Hardy refers to himself as "itchweed" and Moore as "airhedge."

The tweet has since been deleted, but it be should be noted that it is legit as Max of Generation Y retweeted his post, calling it a "great name."

Legal Update: Jeff Hardy Indicted

Legal Update: Jeff Hardy Indicted

A Moore County grand jury has indicted professional wrestler Jeff Hardy on drug charges stemming from a search of his home in Cameron in September.

The indictments were handed up Monday.

Hardy, a former WWE and TNT wrestler, was indicted on charges of trafficking in opium, two counts of possession with intent to sell and deliver a controlled substance, maintaining a place for a controlled substance, and a misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia, according to court records.

The Cameron native was arrested Sept. 11 in his home at 265 Boys Camp Road.

During the search, Moore County sheriff's deputies seized about 262 Vicodin prescription pills, 180 Soma prescription pills, 55 milliliters of anabolic steroids, a residual amount of powder cocaine and items of drug paraphernalia.

Soma is a noncontrolled prescription, according to a Sheriff's Office news release. Vicodin and anabolic steroids are schedule III controlled substances. The drugs' street value was estimated at $2,500.

Before the indictments, Hardy was scheduled to appear in District Court on Jan. 27. His case will be moved to Superior Court and no court date has been set.

Hardy, 32, and his older brother Matt have worked as professional wrestlers separately and together for many years. The duo, known as the Hardy Boyz, were six-time World Wrestling Entertainment world tag-team champions.

Hardy was suspended by the WWE in 2008 for a second violation of its substance abuse and drug testing policy. He was later reinstated and won the WWE's world heavyweight championship belt last summer, then lost it in August. He left the WWE after that.

He continues to be part of the wrestling world and appeared on "TNA Live!" on Spike TV on Monday.

Latest on Jeff Hardy's Status in TNA and WWE

Latest on Jeff Hardy's Status in TNA and WWE

Despite his ongoing legal isssues, PWInsider.com is reporting that Jeff Hardy has indeed signed a deal with TNA. We don't know at this time how long the deal is good for, but we do know that last night's appearance on Impact was not a one time thing for Hardy. He did in fact sign some type of deal which will see him appear on the show regularly.

It's being said that the main reason why Hardy decided to work for TNA instead of making a return to WWE is that he has simply grown tired of the grueling WWE work and travel schedule. Working for TNA will allow Hardy to still maintain his status as a top star, make great money, spend time on other projects that he wants to work on, and not have to travel and work as many dates.

Also WWE.com has officially removed Hardy from their Alumni section, no doubt because he is now involved with TNA Wrestling.

Hardy's "Verbal Agreement" with WWE, and Changes in WWE's Intro

Hardy's "Verbal Agreement" with WWE, and Changes in WWE's Intro

A report from wrestleview stated that Jeff Hardy had a verbal agreement with WWE to return to the company prior to the former World Heavyweight champion re-debuting last night on Impact. Obviously, his appearance on Spike TV was a big surprise to the WWE brass. Apparently Hardy has signed a short-term TNA deal.

As seen at the beginning of ECW, WWE has again edited the opening to its television programming. Recently, Hulk Hogan was removed from the opening and replaced with the "Million Dollar Man" Ted Dibiase and Mick Foley was removed and replaced with Jeff Hardy. Following his return to TNA on Monday, Hardy himself has now been replaced with Kofi Kingston. Surprisingly, "Nature Boy" Ric Flair, who also appeared on TNA programming this past Monday and who is more prominently featured than Hardy in the opening, has not been removed.

- It surprised me to see Jeff Hardy on Spike TV Monday night which I am sure will get some fans talking and critics/pundits asking a great deal of questions. I'm a Jeff Hardy fan and I wish him well.
