"Samoan Submission Machine" Samoa Joe (4) vs. "Charismatic Enigma" Jeff Hardy (2)

This is not only a first time matchup between two former World Champions but it also puts two guys both Ranked in the Top 5. Tenay says that we saw a "wrestling purists dream match" a few weeks ago when Joe and RVD tore the house down on Impact. Jeff and Joe circle each other but then Jeff decides to stall as he rolls out to the floor and slaps hands with the fans. Eric Bischoff is on the phone with Tenay and Taz as supposedly he's off on business. He talks about the ECW invasion and how he and Hulk support anything that Dixie does. Jeff rolls back into the ring and they look to be about to lockup but Joe kicks the crap out of Jeff with a leg kick. Joe then beats on Jeff in the corner with jabs and kicks. Joe then grabs Jeff and tosses him over the top rope to the floor! Joe slams Jeff into the apron and then slams him into the ring steps. Jeff comes back with a kick to the gut on Joe and then slams him into the ring steps and then the ring post. Jeff rolls Joe back into the ring and mounts Joe in the corner and reigns down right hands. Jeff then puts the boots to Joe and hits a Snapmare Takeover and locks in a rear chinlock. Joe gets to his feet and breaks the hold with a Jawbreaker! Joe grabs Hardy and hits a Snapmare and then he slaps Jeff in the back and kicks him in the front! Joe follows up with the Knee Drop. Joe stares out at the crowd and smiles and then he picks Jeff up but Jeff comes alive as he hits Joe with right hand after right hand. Jeff then attempts to whip Joe into the corner Joe reverses it and then charges. Jeff floats up and over a charging Joe but as he lands Joe kills him with a Superkick! Joe looks at the prone body of Jeff Hardy and then grabs him and slams his elbow into the top of Jeff's head. Joe grabs Jeff and lights him up with chops in the corner. Joe then whips Jeff into the corner and hits a Running Back Elbow followed by the Leaping Enziguri! Joe poses as he seems to be just toying with Jeff now. Joe finally covers him and gets a nearfall. Joe picks up Hardy but Jeff comes back with elbows and right hands. Jeff then hits the ropes but Joe catches him with the Snap Powerslam out of nowhere! 1...2...NO Jeff kicks out and Joe can't believe it! Dueling "Lets go Hardy, Lets go Joe" chants start up now. Joe hits a series of jabs on Hardy and then he chops him. Joe flicks off the referee and then he attempts to whip Jeff into the ropes but Jeff reveres it into a clothesline! Jeff follows up with a forearm and then another forearm smash. Jeff hits a Leaping Mule Kick and then a Running Clothesline in the corner! Jeff follows up with the Hardyac Arrest in the corner! 1...2...NO Joe kicks out! Jeff hits a Sleeper Slam on Joe! 1...2...NO Joe kicks out again! Jeff grabs Joe but Joe slaps his arms away and Flair Chops him. Joe then whips Hardy into the corner and charges in but Jeff nails him with a back elbow. Jeff climbs up top and dives off but Hardy catches him in midair with an Atomic Drop! Joe then hits a Running Mafia Kick followed by the Senton Backsplash! 1...2...NO Hardy kicks out yet again! Joe grabs Hardy and hits a big Powerbomb! 1...2...NO Jeff kicks out and Joe rolls over into the STF! Damn that is nice! Hardy fights the hold but Joe just transitions into a Crossface! Samoa Joe is channeling the spirit of the Canadian Crippler (okay that was probably a bit much)! Joe pulls back on Hardy's head but Hardy is able to slide backwards using his legs to get to the ropes and break the hold. Joe poses again kind of taunting the fans. Joe picks Jeff up and nails him with a series of forearms and then he whips Jeff into the ropes. Joe goes to lift Hardy up onto his shoulders but Jeff blocks it and then goes for the Twist of Fate! Joe counters into the Coquina Clutch! Jeff charges to the corner and using his momentum to send Joe headfirst into the top turnbuckle! Jeff then springs to the top and hit's the Whisper In The Wind! Both men are down now! The referee does the double count and gets all the way to 7 as both men get to their feet and JB says that there is under 30 minutes remaining in the time limit. As both men get up they exchange right hands and then they start going at it hard on each other with rights and they even brawl onto the mat as the bell rings.

Winner: TIME LIMIT DRAW

Joe and Jeff Hardy are both frustrated by the draw after the match. Joe grabs the referee as the fans chant "let them fight." Jeff jumps Joe! They're brawling again! The referee seperates them as more referees come in to keep the peace.

Lethal comes out to the ring wearing a new ring coat that says "Living the Dream" (at least I didn't see it at Victory Road) on the back. This is yet another first time ever matchup and it pits the #2 ranked Jeff Hardy against the #5 Jay Lethal! Lethal and Jeff tie up and Jeff gets the advantage with a side headlock. Lay shoves Jeff into the ropes and Jeff comes back with a shoulder block. Jeff hits the ropes but Lethal leapfrogs over him and then rolls backward to try and hook Jeff with his legs but Jeff grabs his legs and Leg Drops ontop of Lethal's legs into a pin! 1...NO Lethal kicks out. Jeff whips Lethal into the corner and then charges but Lethal backdrops Jeff over the top to the apron. Lethal then hits a Springboard Dropkick that sends Jeff crashing to the floor. Lethal hits a Suicide Dive through the ropes onto Jeff sending him into the guardrail on the floor! We then cut to a shot of Rhino, Dreamer, Raven, and Richards walking in the crowd. Lethal rolls Hardy back into the ring and gets a nearfall. Hardy comes back with a kick to the gut and then goes for the Twist of Fate but Lethal shoves him into the ropes. Lethal then hits a Hip Toss followed by a cartwheel into a dropkick! 1...2...NO Hardy kicks out! Lethal throws Hardy into the corner and he chops away at Hardy. Lethal attempts to whip Hardy into the opposite corner but Hardy reverses it and then charges at Lethal but Lethal floats up and over Hardy. Lethal charges but Hardy hits a back elbow and then hits the Whisper In The Wind off the top! Hardy and Lethal get to their feet at the same time and exchange right hands. Lethal then kicks Hardy and attempts to whip Hardy into the ropes but Hardy reverses it into a shortarm clothesline! Hardy follows up with an Atomic Drop and then a modified Leg Drop to the nuts and then a sliding dropkick for another nearfall. Hardy goes for the Hardyac Arrest in the corner but Lethal gets his boots up as Tenay announces that Beer Money has decided on a Street Fight for Match 2 in the Best of 5 Series! Lethal hits a Springboard Missile Dropkick for another nearfall. Lethal goes for the Lethal Injection but Hardy counters into the Twist of Fate! Hardy then climbs up top and hits the Swanton Bomb! 1...2...3 and Hardy gets the win.

Jeremy Borash did the ring introductions for the challengers Mr. Anderson, Abyss, Jeff Hardy and champion Rob Van Dam. The bell rings and Abyss remains on the outside looking in. Abyss gets up on the ring apron and RVD, Hardy and Anderson go in for the attack. Anderson, Hardy and RVD exchange turns hitting right hands on Abyss in the corner. Hardy splashes Abyss. Anderson follows. RVD is next and gives Abyss a monkey flip. Hardy with a flip dive jumping off the back of RVD to take out Abyss with help from Anderson. Anderson with a close rollup for a two count on RVD. RVD with a big spin kick to Anderson. Abyss trips up RVD when he was hitting the ropes and tosses him into the steel guard railing. Anderson and Hardy double team Abyss. RVD gets in some offense on Hardy and then jumps over the top rope to take out Abyss. Hardy is out next taking out Abyss as well. Anderson gets up on the top turnbuckle and drops a sledgehammer over the head of Abyss. RVD with a split leg moonsault over Anderson back in the ring. RVD with a big spin kick to the jaw of Hardy. Anderson crotches RVD up on the top turnbuckle. Hardy jumps up with Anderson. Abyss is now under them. Big Tower of Doom spot from the corner involving all four men. RVD with some big kicks on Abyss. RVD with a big kick to Anderson and corner clothesline on Hardy. RVD comes off the top with a big kick to the head of Abyss. RVD is back up top and Anderson tosses him off into the entrance ramp. Hardy with a big flipping dive from the corner on Abyss, covers and Anderson breaks it up. Anderson with a Mic Check on Abyss and Hardy breaks up the pinfall. Abyss with a Black Hole Slam on Hardy. Anderson pulls the referee out to break up the pinfall. Hardy tosses Abyss through the ropes to the outside. Hardy and Anderson go at it in what Taz describes as a hockey fight. Hardy blocks a Mic Check and Anderson blocks a Twist of Fate attempt. Hardy then backs off, waits and drops Anderson with a Twist of Fate. Hardy connects with the Swanton on Anderson. Abyss then chokeslams Hardy over Anderson. Abyss covers Hardy and RVD comes off the top hitting a Five Star Frog Splash. RVD covers Anderson and gets the pinfall. Wow, crowd in Orlando is beyond dead for this main event.

Impact opens up this week with a video package highlighting the Jeff Hardy and Mr. Anderson drama.

We cut to the back where Mr. Anderson arrives into the arena, chair-in hand. Anderson walks through the tunnel and walks to the ring with a serious look on his face. Tenay and West continue to question whether Anderson meant to hit Hardy with the chair last week or not. Anderson asks if there are any "Creatures of the Night" here tonight and the fans scream. Anderson then introduces their leader, Jeff Hardy, and he walks out to the ring.

Anderson says last week he hit Jeff in the back with a chair but tells him to look him in the eyes and know that he did not do it on purpose. Anderson says he knows Jeff knows that he didn't do it and that's because had he hit Jeff with the chair on purpose he'd tell the whole freaking world about it. Anderson says he would be proud of it because he is an a**hole. Anderson says the world would be a better place if there were more a** holes in it and he says the Impact Zone is one of the greatest places on Earth because it's filled with a**holes. Anderson picks up the chair and says he has a solution. He says he's bringing the chair to the ring when he and Jeff wrestle tonight and if he uses it tonight then Jeff knows he has a problem with him. He says if Jeff uses the chair then Anderson will know that Jeff has a problem with him. Anderson drops the microphone and leaves Hardy in the ring.

Earlier Today we see AJ Styles talking to the camerain the back. AJ talks about Ric being disappointing in him but AJ says he's disappointed in himself. AJ says he'll tear Kazarian apart and he hopes Ric is happy with the results.

Back from commercials Jeff Hardy speaks to the camera. Jeff talks about Anderson hitting him with the chair last week and he says we'll find out where Mr. Anderson is in his head tonight.

Main Event Mr. Anderson vs. "Charismatic Enigma" Jeff Hardy

This is a rematch from Slammiversary. Anderson and Hardy shake hands before the match starts. They lockup and Anderson forces Hardy into the ropes but Hardy counters and locks Anderson in a modified armbar. Anderson fights it and whips Hardy into the ropes but eats a shoulder block. Hardy comes off the ropes and Anderson goes for a Hip Toss but Hardy blocks it but then Anderson punches him in the gut. Anderson sets up for the Green Bay Plunge but Hardy blocks it and then connects with a right hand. Hardy goes for another one but this time Anderson catches him arm and then hits a Spinning Neckbreaker! 1...2...NO Hardy kicks out! Anderson grabs Hardy but Hardy catches him with a Jawbreaker out of nowhere followed by a Mule Kick. Hardy then goes for the Hardyac Arrest but Anderson moves out of the way. 1...2...NO Hardy kicks out. Anderson attempts to whip Hardy into the ropes but Hardy counters into a clothesline for a nearfall. Hardy whips Anderson into the corner and hits a Clothesline and then he goes for a Bulldog but Anderson blocks it and shoves Hardy into the corner. Anderson then charges at Hardy but Hardy nails him with a back elbow and hits the Whisper In The Wind off the top! 1...2...NO Anderson kicks out! Hardy goes for the Twist of Fate but Anderson counters into the Green Bay Plunge! 1...2...NO Hardy kicks out! Anderson climbs to the top and goes for the Kenton Bomb but Hardy moves out of the way and then hits the Twist of Fate! 1...2...3!

Winner: Hardy via pinfall (Twist of Fate)

After the match Hardy checks on Anderson and they smile at each other but then Abyss' music hits and the Monster brings that 2x4 with the nails sticking out of it to the ring! Abyss points at Anderson and then the referee pulls the 2x4 out of his hand which allows Anderson and Hardy to jump Abyss! They double clothesline Abyss but he doesn't go down. Then they attempt another one but this time Abyss just breaks through it and Double Clotheslines Hardy & Anderson! Abyss Chokeslams Hardy and then he Big Boots Anderson! Abyss grabs the 2x4 again and he swings it at Anderson but he moves and it got stuck in the top turnbuckle. He pulls it away and actually rips the whole turnbuckle off! RVD runs out and nails Abyss with lots of strikes! RVD then comes off the ropes but Abyss grabs him by the throat and throws him out of the ring! Anderson grabs the chair as Hardy sets up for something on Abyss! Anderson looks like he's going to hit Hardy! Anderson then tells Hardy to get out of the way and Anderson nails Abyss in the back with it! RVD back in and he takes the chair away from Anderson and slams it into Abyss' face with the Van-Daminator! RVD, Hardy, and Anderson celebrate in the ring and shake hands. Anderson then gets in Van Dam's face as they both talk trash. Abyss gets to his feet and starts staring down the other 3 as we fade to black!

Jeff Hardy Defeats Abyss TNA Impact Result

Impact opens up with a recap of the history between Abyss and Hogan. As we cut to the arena Abyss is freaking out and throwing chairs in the ring. Abyss is wearing a new black mask and black ring gear. He AWESOMELY scares some kids at ringside and then steals their chairs and tosses them into the ring. Abyss turns to So Cal Val and stalks her at ringside. She falls down as she was trying to get away from him and then Abyss points at her only to get cut off by Hulk Hogan's theme music!

Hogan comes down the ramp and he isn't in a playing mood obviously. Hogan climbs into the ring as Taz says that Hogan is scheduled for back surgery this week. Hogan picks up the chairs and tosses them around and dares Abyss to get into the ring. Abyss obliges him but before he can get his hands on Hogan, Eric Bischoff gets between them and says Hogan is nuts. Hogan tells Bischoff to get out of his way and again dares Abyss to get into the ring as he stands on the apron. Abyss climbs into the ring and security runs out to hold both Hogan and Abyss back. Bischoff actually punches Abyss in the face as he screams "you ungrateful son of a b*tch!" Abyss then goes apesh*t and punches out security before turning to Bischoff and points at him. Hogan grabs a steel chair and nails Abyss in the back with it! He nails Abyss a second time but neither fazes Abyss! Abyss turns around and grabs Hogan by the throat! Before Abyss can do anything to Hogan, Jeff Hardy's music hits!

The music distracts Abyss allowing Hogan to hit Abyss with a couple of back elbows but neither work as Abyss holds onto his throat. Hardy runs down the ramp and comes off the rope with a kick to the gut on Abyss and then a Twist of Fate! Hardy then starts throwing the chairs at Abyss and climbs to the top and hits the Swanton Bomb! The fans are going crazy! Hogan and Bischoff leave with Hardy as Abyss is laid out in the ring. As Hardy and company make it up the ramp Abyss is shown in the ring going nuts again and pointing at Hardy and begging him to get back into the ring. Abyss says "you're mine tonight" and Hardy attempts to get back into the ring but security holds him back.

At the announce desk Tenay and Taz discuss the wild way that Impact just started out. Tenay says that tonight AJ Styles and Samoa Joe will go one on one and then Abyss interrupts them! He points at Taz and Taz rips off his headset. Security runs over to stop Abyss but he lays them out. Abyss stares Taz down as we go to the break!

---------------------COMMERCIAL BREAK----------------------------

Back from commercials replays of what just went down with Abyss are shown and then what happened during the break is shown. Abyss destroyed the backstage area continuing his destruction. Bischoff and Hogan discuss Abyss in the back and Hogan calls him 'another cancer' that could destroy TNA. Hardy says he wants Abyss tonight and they make the match! Bischoff says they'll cover his back someway. Hardy screams into the camera that Abyss is going down tonight!


Main Event
"Charismatic Enigma" Jeff Hardy vs. "The Monster" Abyss

Abyss brings out the 2x4 with nails sticking out of it. These two had a feud back in the day in Jeff's first run in TNA which resulted in some wild matches between each other. One of which was the first ever Full Metal Mayhem Match. Jeff jumps into the ring and nails Abyss with right hands as RVD was trying to get the 2x4 from Abyss. Jeff then comes off the ropes and hits a Forearm Smash. Jeff then comes off the ropes again and Abyss swings the board at him, but Jeff ducks and hits a Running Dropkick! Jeff mounts Abyss in the corner as RVD throws the board out of the ring. Abyss shoves Jeff off but Jeff quickly mounts him in the corner again and nails him with right hands. Abyss shoves him off again and then Abyss whips Jeff into the ropes. Jeff comes back with a running clothesline that sends Abyss through the ropes to the floor. Jeff follows up with a Dropkick through the ropes to Abyss and then a Slingshot Cross Body over the top rope onto Abyss on the floor! Hardy goes for the Twist of Fate on the floor but Abyss shove shim into the ring post. Abyss gets in some fans faces and then he drags Jeff over to the steps and slams him into them. Abyss rolls Jeff back into the ring and whips him into the corner hard. Abyss grabs Jeff but Jeff comes back with rights and lefts only to eat a Sidewalk Slam from Abyss for a nearfall. Abyss rolls out to the floor and grabs a steel chair as Taz wonders if the ECW guys are behind Abyss going nuts. RVD takes the chair from Abyss and then Jeff rolls him up! 1...2...NO Abyss kicks out! Abyss goes for a clothesline but Jeff ducks and hits one of his own! Jeff then hits the Legdrop to the nuts! Jeff rolls out to the floor and gets the chair and sets it up in the corner! Jeff dives off the chair with Poetry In The Motion on Abyss in the corner! Jeff attempts to whip Abyss into the corner but Abyss reverses it and then charges at Jeff only to eat a back elbow. Jeff climbs to the top and hits the Whisper In The Wind! 1...2...NO Abyss kicks out! Jeff comes off the ropes but eats a Big Boot from Abyss! Abyss then hits a Big Splash! 1...2...NO Jeff kicks out! Abyss picks Jeff up and goes for the Shock Treatment but Jeff blocks it and hits the Twist of Fate! Jeff climbs to the top and goes for the Swanton Bomb but Abyss crotches him on the top! Abyss climbs up to the top with Jeff and goes for a Super Chokeslam but Jeff blocks it with back elbows and right hands. Abyss falls off the top and Jeff hits the Swanton Bomb! 1...2...3!

Winner: Hardy via pinfall (Swanton Bomb)

After the match Abyss immediately gets to his feet and attacks Jeff again! RVD ducks a clothesline from Abyss but then eats a Black Hole Slam! Abyss rolls out to the floor and grabs the 2x4! Before Abyss can use it Mr. Anderson's music hits! Anderson runs out with a chair and swats the 2x4 away with the chair and then nails Abyss with the chair! Anderson hits Abyss with it again and then swings it at Abyss but Abyss ducks and Anderson nails Hardy! Abyss then grabs Anderson from behind and hits the Shock Treatment! Abyss has yet again left bodies laying at the end of Impact.
