Matt Hardy Makes TNA Debut At Genesis
Jeff Hardy's brother and former WWE superstar Matt Hardy made his TNA Wrestling debut at Sunday’s Genesis pay-per-view at the iMPACT Zone from Orlando, Florida.
Hardy was revealed as Rob Van Dam’s hand-picked mystery opponent by Immortal. He came out sporting a new look (braided hair) and new theme music.
Hardy defeated Van Dam in a hard fought mach that ended in controversial fashion, with Van Dam’s leg on the ropes despite the 3-count.
Hardy’s 90-day no-compete clause with WWE expired over the weekend, allowing him to sign with TNA just in time for the PPV.
